Pictured below are the three different waxes offered by Firehouse Moustache Wax; Light, Dark, & Wacky Tacky. The lighter wax seems to work better on white or light colored hair. The darker one is really not “dark” but more of a neutral color and will work on all colors of hair. The darker wax is a little stiffer than the light, but both set up really well.
"Wacky Tacky" appears very dark in the tin, but out of the tin it is a light tan color. It works well on a wide variety of different colored hair, and you apply it the same as the others. It's just like it's name, wacky and tacky! All three have different aromas but it’s not like a perfume smell. They smell quite good. (Please note that there are sometimes striations of lighter or darker colors in the Dark and Wacky Tacky waxes, as well as sometimes having an overall lighter or darker color than what's pictured below. This is due to a variance in the wax caused by nature but will not effect the performance or quality in any way.)
One application in the morning should work for the whole day, even in hot, sweaty conditions. If you leave the wax where it will get cold, you may need to let the wax warm some before applying. (i.e. putting it in your pocket or near warm air out of a vent etc.) Concerning application of the wax, just apply it as directed in the “About Us” & "How to Apply" links, or find your own particular way to apply it.

I tried it out this evening and found the following:
Very firm as per what you stated. I found I could get it on my finger quite OK and it spreads through very smoothly.
It looks like a very smooth mix. Beautiful looking colour and smells very pleasant without being over powering.
I decided to heat up my moustache with the hair drier and I spread it through. I have only used a very small amount so far and it set very firmly indeed without flaking.
This wax would have to be the easiest I have used so far and also the most effective. I love the colour as it initially seems to hide some of the grey but eventually sets to a natural colour.
